About

My name is Lis, I am 38 years old and I live in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, with my partner Ali and my cats Freak and Freya.

I teach art at a night school for adults with learning disabilities and teach some private lessons. My background is in art therapy and primary education.

I love making things. I also love being in nature, photography and reading.

Currently I'm recovering from a long period of chronic migraines, that have now stabilized into 1 or 2 a week, which still can be pretty debilitating. So I'm learning to accept what I can and can't do.

I am building towards teaching more private art lessons and workshops when my health allows it. But for now I’m primarily a maker.

‘HEADLESS‘ obviously has to do with the migraines. When I have an attack, I long to be headless.

I'm also in my head a lot, I think a lot about a lot. When I'm making stuff I feel headless.

Being headless is about being free. Free from my constantly churning brain, the pressures of life, almost free of thought.
